We live in a world of very astute consumers these days filled with choice. We know full well that providing excellent customer service is a great way to build customer relationships, and also encourage customer loyalty, which is key to a successful business. When a consumer is provided with memorable customer service they won’t be so quick to jump ship when approached by competitors. If they have only received what they were expecting, or even less, there is not going to be much stopping them from taking their business elsewhere. This seems to be all too common in Australian business these days with only 2% of Businesses exceeding expectations when it comes to customer service.
